Identical twins Camille and Kennerly Kitt are multi-talented professional duet harpists and Film/TV/Commercial actors. Known as the “Harp Twins”, Camille and Kennerly perform internationally as a dynamic acoustic and electric rock Harp Duo. As actors, The Kitt Twins have appeared in three feature films - two of which also feature the twins performing on their harps. With over 500,000 fans across their social media sites and over 25 million views on their YouTube music videos, Camille and Kennerly are easily the most followed and recognizable harpists in the world.
The Kitt twins made their Hollywood film debut as the “Merry Christian Twins” in the feature film POLITICS OF LOVE as actors, soundtrack writers, and soundtrack performers (harp and vocal). POLITICS OF LOVE was directed by William Dear (Angels in the Outfield, The Perfect Game) and stars Ruby Dee, Loretta Devine, Gerry Bednob, Brian White, and Bollywood superstar Mallika Sherawat. Additionally, Camille and Kennerly had roles as “The Marcelli Twins” in the dark teen comedy BLACKTINO – produced by Elizabeth Avellan (Sin City, Predators, Machete), and starring Danny Trejo, Michelle Rodriguez, Daryl Sabara, and Jeff Fahey. BLACKTINO premiered at The Paramount Theater on opening night of the SXSW (South by Southwest) Film Festival. Most recently, Camille and Kennerly portray the biological daughters of Vince Vaughn's character in the DreamWorks film, DELIVERY MAN - starring Cobie Smulders, Bobby Moynihan, and Chris Pratt. The Kitt Twins have also starred in numerous short films.
Camille and Kennerly have been cast as principal roles in several commercials, including a national US commercial for the TOSHIBA Tablet and national Japanese commercials for CHUPA CHUPS lollypops, which aired for two years in Japan. Most recently, ORKIN Pest Control featured Camille and Kennerly playing their harps in a viral commercial campaign.
The Kitt twins made their professional musical theater debut as “The Geminae” in the musical comedy A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum by award-winning, professional theatre company: Theatre Nebula. As models, Camille and Kennerly have done commercial Campaigns for several new clothing lines, and were cast by 17 Magazine as runway models for prom-wear.
As the world's only identical twin professional harpists, Camille and Kennerly have a passion and flair for arranging and performing contemporary music for Harp Duet. The twins were trained classically but their true musical love and passion is playing rock, metal, alternative, and crossover genres. The Harp Twins perform on identical statuesque acoustic Concert Grand Harps as well as identical modern ebony Electric Harps. Most recently, Camille and Kennerly teamed-up with Harpsicle/Rees Harps to show what can be done with smaller, affordable harps. The twins' new metallic blue harps bring a new element to the breadth of their Duet Harp Revolution. Camille and Kennerly have created a unique niche for themsevles: They play rock and metal using only their two harps. Unlike other artists who cover contemporary music, the twins use no backtrack, studio, or production people. They are the archetype of true independent artists. Camille and Kennerly are recognized for their remarkable duet harp arrangements of songs by artists such as Guns N’ Roses, Iron Maiden, Led Zeppelin, Metallica, Aerosmith, Ozzy Osborne, Megadeth, AC/DC, The Rolling Stones, Blue Oyster Cult, Scorpions, Eagles, The Police, Bon Jovi, Pink Floyd, U2, Journey, Evanescence, The Cranberries, Coldplay, The Beatles, Johnny Cash, Deep Purple, and many more. The twins also arrange and perform a jukebox of TV and Movie Soundtrack, Anime, and Video Game hits. Some fan favorites include their renditions of music from Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, The Elder Scrolls, Final Fantasy, Star Trek, Star Wars, Doctor Who, Downton Abbey, Zelda, Mario, Silent Hill, Harry Potter, Saint Seiya, The Lord of the Rings, and The Hobbit. In addition to being prolific arrangers, Camille and Kennerly compose and perform their own original pieces for Harp Duet. Camille and Kennerly's radical Duet Harp Revolution is changing the world's perception of the harp, and the way harp is played - one song at a time.
The Harp Twins headline concerts, as well as perform as featured artists for public, private, philanthropic, academic, corporate, cultural and political events. Camille and Kennerly have performed for celebrities and political leaders. The Harp Twins were invited to represent the US at the 2014 World Harp Festival ("Festival Mundial del Arpa") in Paraguay, where they performed over 2 nights (including an organizer requested encore presentation the final night of the festival due to the success of their first performance) and taught master classes. Camille and Kennerly were also asked to be cultural ambassadors for the United States during their trip to South America. So, the twins stayed after the festival to speak and perform at schools and towns in Paraguay. The Harp Twins were featured musicians at the Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Celebration, playing for three events over two days, including a dinner where President Barack Obama was the speaker. Other notable duet harp performances include a luncheon where former First Lady Laura Bush was the featured speaker and a dinner event with former Vice President Cheney as the special guest. The Harp Twins were featured performers for a private pre-opening event to celebrate French haute couture fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier’s exhibit “From the Sidewalk to the Catwalk”, which premiered at the De Young Museum in San Francisco. Additionally, celebrity photographer, Martin Schoeller, asked Camille and Kennerly to perform at both opening events for his book "Identical: Portraits of Twins" in New York and Beverly Hills, CA.
Camille and Kennerly and their music have been featured in worldwide mainstream media such as CBS News, National Geographic, The Huffington Post, The Huffington Post UK, The Huffington Post Chicago, Metal Hammer Magazine, Doctor Who Magazine, ABC News, Conan O'Brien's TeamCoco, Rolling Stone ES, G4TV’s “Attack of the Show”, The Soup, VSAUCE, BuzzFeed, Nintendo Life, Chicago's WGN News, Metal Underground, LA Weekly, AMCtv.com, Guitar World, Revolver, RightThisMinute, The Telegraph UK, Daily Mail, Kotaku, Yahoo! News, and Yahoo! Music Canada. Notably, Camille and Kennerly were featured in one of the UK's biggest metal music magazines, Metal Hammer. In the article and interview, titled "Harp Attack", the Harp Twins were labled a "Hot New Band". Additionally, Doctor Who Magazine featured Camille and Kennerly's Doctor Who Theme cover in their Five Doctors / 50th Anniversary issue.
The Harp Twins' music has also caught the attention of the original artists and music composers. The legendary heavy metal band, Megadeth, shared Camille and Kennerly's cover of their song Ä Tout le Monde" on their social media sites calling it "great". Bear McCreary, (composer of the music from Battlestar Galactica and The Walking Dead) shared Camille and Kennerly's arrangement of his Walking Dead theme on his official sites calling it " awesome" and "one of the most unusual covers" of his music that he had ever heard. Also, the German power metal band Blind Guardian shared The Harp Twins'cover of their "The Bard's Song" on their official social media sites. Additionally, Blue Oyster Cult founding member, Albert Bouchard, called the twins' arrangement of "Don't Fear the Reaper" a "great arrangement", saying on their video "I love how you covered the lead guitar lines". And European folk metal band, Equilibrium, shared a collaboration cover of one of their songs in which the twins were featured on their official site saying they were "simply blown away".
Since December 2013, Camille and Kennerly have released 3 cover albums: Harp Attack, Harp Fantasy, and Harp Attack 2. All 3 CDs have been top selling albums on their distributer.
Camille and Kennerly are Third Degree Black Belts in Tae Kwon Do and are former Tae Kwon Do instructors. The twins are also "Distinguished Experts" in rifle marksmanship and are trained in horseback riding. Camille and Kennerly have a heart for philanthropy and are also actively involved in their community. Since they were children, Camille and Kennerly have worked to support underprivileged children overseas. They have been volunteer companions for special needs children, teens, and young adults for many years. The twins know sign language and volunteered for over 6 years at a monthly Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing social gathering.
Fun Fact: Camille and Kennerly were competitive swimmers for many years as children and both qualified for the Junior Olympics 5 times, competing in all 4 strokes.
Camille and Kennerly graduated “Summa Cum Laude” (with highest honors) from the prestigious Conservatory of Music at Wheaton College, both with a Bachelor of Music degree in Harp Performance. The twins were on the Dean’s list every semester and earned straight As. Prior to transferring to the Conservatory, Camille and Kennerly completed their last two years of high school while simultaneously enrolled in a music studies program at a local college. While completing the music studies program at the college, the twins were in the Honors Scholar Program, inducted into the National Honor Society Phi Theta Kappa, published authors in the academic journal Essai, held a 4.0 out of 4.0 GPA, and were faculty nominated scholars for both years – representing their college at several state-wide events.
